Foster's dream is to be the first kid host of a cooking show on the Food Network. She makes the best cupcakes the town of Culpepper, West Virginia has ever tasted. Foster barely made it through 6th grade "by the skin of her teeth" she can't read and doesn't want anyone to know. But, she knows that cupcakes can open hearts, and Foster finds that she's not the only one in town with problems.
This is another laugh out load and cry a little novel. I love Joan Bauer's books, and this is no exception. All of her characters are believable without being stereotypical small town. I loved the description of her cupcakes. Wish the book included recipes!
