Ash is spending his summer with his sister, aunt, and uncle in India. The first couple weeks were amazing, but now things are getting confusing and out of hand. While Ash loves the Indian tales of Rama and demons, he doesn't want to live it--he is no hero. Yet.
A captivating story that rolls mythology into the modern world, much like the Percy Jackson series, made this book very exciting--once one gets past the beginning. The first few chapters are slow to get to the real challenges and meat of the story. This lag of interest makes this book less dazzling than Percy Jackson, but there is no doubt that the sequel will be hard to wait for.
