Siblings, Jessie and Evan Treski have waged a lemonade war, sought justice in a class trial, and uncovered a bell thief. There is one thing they disagree on, however, and that’s privacy. Evan wants his deepest thoughts and poems to stay a secret, but Jessie is unable to respect his desire for privacy. When a person starts anonymously leaving candy heart in people’s desk, Jessie is determined to uncover who it is, but Evan doesn’t want her to. Will the two siblings find a happy medium? Who is sending the Valentine’s hearts?
Although the character Jessie is a little unbelievable, he character experiences growth by the end of the novel. Other characters are likable and engaging. Although the ending is a little depressing, readers will enjoy the engaging plot and the mysteries behind the book. Readers who have read and enjoyed the first three books in the series as well as like reading realistic fiction and sibling stories will enjoy reading this book. EL. OPTIONAL.
