The Bronte Sisters by Catherine Reef - ADVISABLE

Reef, Catherine The Bronte Sisters: The brief lives of Charlotte, Emily and Anne, 190 p. Content : G.  NON-FICTION

In 1821, Patrick Bronte was left with six children younger than 7 when his wife died.  A poor clergyman, he sent some of his children away to boarding school, where they contracted consumption (tuberculosis) and died.  Thus begins the history of the family which produced Charlotte, Anne, Emily and Bramwell Bronte.  Any library where any of these books or taught or the students do any kind of biographical research can use this book.  Very detailed, very easy to read – a new hallmark in biography standards.
