Park, Barbara.  Brunkus, Denise. Junie B. Jones and the Stupid Smelly Bus (20th Anniversary Full Color Edition), 83 pgs.  Random House Books for Young Readers, 2012.  $14.99.  Language- G, Mature Content- G, Violence- G.    This book is about a girl named Junie B. Jones.  Junie B.  is starting Kindergarten.  She goes and meets her teacher before school starts and she talks about what the school year will be like.  The teacher asks if she will be riding the bus.  Her mom answered, “Yes”.  Junie B. was shocked and did not want to ride the bus!  On the first day of school, Junie B. stayed in school and purposefully missed the bus.  She didn’t want to have all the horrible things happen to her that people said happen on a bus!  I liked the bonus pages at the end of the book.  It was a very funny book.  The illustrations were very bright and colorful.  ESSENTIAL.  EL(K-3).  Student Reviewed: JL- age 9.
