G- PICTURE BOOK.  With very little text, the author explores the world around us.  Although mother has put the baby to sleep, the baby is comforted by the moon, the start, cars, birds, frogs, bunnies, owls and other creatures outside his window.  Inside the house he hears from the door, the goldfish, the dog, some shoes and finally the stuffed animals by his crib.  Eventually, baby falls asleep.  This is a fun storybook and perfect for bedtime but doesn’t really have application to the classroom.  Side note: we thought the teddy bear’s expression is anything but calming and almost frightening for little ones!  Pre-K.  EL (K-3).  OPTIONAL.  Reviewer: SL.
