Lewis, Rose A. Sweet Dreams Illustrated by Jen Corace Abrams Books, 2012. PICTURE BOOK Content: G.
As a mother is putting her child to sleep, she tells her to have sweet dreams and great adventures during her sleep. Then she tells the child all of the things that are going on at night with the animals outside-mice sleeping under the flowers, butterflies going to sleep and moths waking up, owls waiting for their mom to bring them food. The mother explains that although the little child is sleeping, not everyone sleeps at night. The illustrations are beautiful in this simple good night story. The rhythm of the rhyme is soothing and matches the peaceful pictures.
EL (K-3)-OPTIONAL.
