Flock by Wendy Delsol - ADVISABLE

Delsol, Wendy Flock, 394 p. Candlewick, 2012.  $17.  Language: PG-13 (20 + swears, 0 ‘f’); Violence: G (bloodless).; Mature Content: G.

When merman Marik and shaman-in-training Jinky show up at her high school, Katla knows that she only has a little time to save her brand-new baby sister from becoming the heir to the Mermaid Queen.  She can’t ask for help from her boyfriend Jack, nor her best friend Penny, because she isn’t willing to put their live in danger.  It will take an act of sheer desperation to pull off this crazy plan.  And it may cost Katla more than she ever dreams.

Yeah!!!  Delsol is back to her real, imaginative self is the third (last?) installment about Katla.  Taking Katla in and out of danger, Delsol crafts a satisfying story that deserves to be counted as a fairy tale.
