Three girls, Mary, Lillia and Kat, all have revenge on the mind. So when Kat decides to quit waiting for karma, and take matters into her own hands, she swears the other two girls to a secret plan to destroy the three people who have made their life hard. Mary was tortured by Reeve, a boy who pretended to be her friend in private, but publicly called her fat and turned their small private school against her. Lillia thought she could trust her friend Alex, he wants to be more than friends, but he’s always been respectful of Lillia, until she finds her little sister’s clothes in his bedroom. Kat wants revenge on Rennie, her childhood best friend, who has labeled Kat as a druggie and slut. The three girls share their heartache with each other and then meticulously make a plan to ruin their nemesis.
This book is uncomfortable to read because revenge turns good people bad. The girls vacillate between satisfaction in their acts and deep regret. The book has the feel of Pretty Little Liars meets Mean Girls, with all the high school social drama. I cared about the characters, so when the ending left the whole story unresolved I was very frustrated. There is going to be another book in the series that hopefully allows the girls to redeem themselves.
