Chopsticks by Amy Krouse Rosenthal-ADVISABLE

Rosenthal, Amy Krouse, Chopsticks. Disney Hyperion Books, 2012. pgs. 40.PICTURE BOOK.

These two chopsticks are the best of friends and do everything together. When one of them gets badly hurt and has to lie down for a while, the other one becomes lost. He tries all kinds of new things like soccer, pick-up sticks, and more, but he can’t wait to show his best friend what he’s missing.

A cute picture book for young children. The pictures are well-done and complement the story. The story is simple, but fun to read. Early readers and young children who enjoyed this author’s other book, Spoon, or who like funny books will enjoy reading this book. Pre-K, EL (K-3). ADVISABLE. Reviewer: Kira Moody, Youth Services Librarian, WHI Public Library.
