The Paladin Prophecy by Mark Frost - ADVISABLE

Frost, Mark The Paladin Prophecy, 547 pgs. Random House, 2012. $17.99. Language: PG13 (20 swears, 4 G, 3 “f”) Mature Content: PG13, Violence: PG13.

One terribly long day, Will West learns that he is not normal, nor is his parents.  He is caught up in “otherworld” conquests in an instant.  He must flee all he knows.  Will is whisked away to safety with the help of his father’s rule book and “angels” and is placed in a boarding school for the highly intelligent called Center for Integrated Learning.  There he finds friends in Nick, Ajay, Elise, and Brooke.  Together they work to discover who the “netherworld” agents are and strive to send them back to the other side.  High tech computers aide in this scenario.  Will’s powers of speed, intelligence, and thought transference give him the edge he needs to succeed. Throughout, his father’s rules, which are enlightening and entertaining, guide him to safety and an understanding of who his father really is.

Frost’s fast paced story draws the reader into a technological world of good versus evil.  Although the reader does not know the full details of the evil involved until late in the book, the adventures that Will passes through are a fun read.
