The Book Thief Official Movie Trailer #1

In case you didn't know, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak is one of my favorite books!

I read it a couple of years ago thanks to a giveaway I won, and loved it so much that I bought the spanish edition for my mom to read it. I love when I read books without any expectations or thinking I'm not going to like it and end loving it.

That's why I'm so happy to watch the movie trailer! I didn't know the movie was so advanced and going to be released September 15th (USA). Any book lover should watch it (after reading the book of course!) ;)

I really want to re-read it soon and translate the review I wrote in spanish years ago!

Harry Potter New Cover

When I heard Scholastic decided to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Harry Potter with new shiny covers (source), I wasn't convinced. But I have to admit I really like this new cover of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, by the artist Kazu Kibuishi.

What do you think? Love it or hate it?

News: New Book by J.K. Rowling!

I'm pretty sure you're reading about this on twitter, etc....but still:

More info

J.K Rowling is publishing a new book, I'm excited! I loved Harry Potter, and although this book has nothing to do with my favorite wizard, I really enjoy Rowling's writing.

I wonder...what kind of book will be? It says adult....but I need more clues! What do you think?

Cover Reveal: Vanish (Firelight #2)

Isn't it beautiful? I loved the first book of the series, Firelight, and can't wait to read Vanish! :D

Blogs News (Updated!!)

UPDATE!!: As you can see, my new layout is installed! What do you think??? I love it >D

By the way, before I was using Intense Debate for the comments. But I have decided to not use it anymore...So, the bad news is that all your comments have been erased from the blog (I have them on my computer). But the good news is that now it will probably be easier for you to comment and for me to check them. Hope you don't mind!

Hi guys! How was your weekend? I hope it was awesome. Mine was :D

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that a couple of days ago I was the lucky winner of a YA Book Blog Design at The Book Worms. (yay!) I was very excited because I really think Oh My Books! need a new (and better) layout.

Tawni is a great designer (and book reviewer), and you should check her site Forever Desing Studio. She has done beautiful layouts for blogs, etc.

Why I'm telling you all this? Well, that's because she's going to be installing my new layout soon (yes, she's that nice!), so don't worry when you don't see my famous header. My new layout would be awesome, and I hope you all like it as much as I do!

P.S. Thank you so much Tawni, you're the best!

News: Halloween is coming! (updated!)

Next month is Halloween!! :D And some blogs are going to have amazing events....

YA Books Reviewed is having a Halloween Read-A-Thon! I already joined, and I'm going to host a mini challenge too. For this Read-A-Thon you just have to read Halloween themed stuff. Not necessarily with the day of Halloween, or even the month. None of that (unless you want to). What I am thinking is examples like this: vampires, ghosts, witches, werewolves, shifters, immortals, urban legends, zombies, anything horror or paranormal related.

News: WAKE movie

Hi guys! I just read at Lisa McMann's blog:

Paramount and MTV Films have picked up the film rights to the WAKE trilogy, with Christopher Landon (Disturbia) writing/directing. Miley Cyrus is considering the lead role.

As you know, even with people and studios attached, it takes a lot for a movie to actually happen, so there are no guarantees it'll get made. But I'm crossing my fingers.

I am thrilled!

As soon as I have more information, I will let you know. Read all the details at the link above!

xox

Lisa

P.S. I have no control over casting or anything else -- I'm just here to let you know what's up. So please, don't be all about the hatin' all over my blog, my lovelies! Did I mention I am thrilled? I am! I think Miley is awesome. Anybody who can accomplish more by the age of 17 than I can do by the age of 42 is top notch in my book. I think every teen has tremendous potential to shine, don't you? xox

What do you think? Have you read the Wake trilogy? I read Wake and Fade, but still have to read Gone. Anyway, I'm not a big fan of Miley Cyrus, and you?
