Dot is a cute girl who knows the ins and outs of electronics. She is good at the ipad, computer and phone. She likes to search the Internet, post on blogs and talk talk talk on the phone. When Dot finally gets overloaded on her electronics, her mother has her go outside and enjoy the real world. Outside Dot has fun playing with her friends. The last page shows dot taking a picture of her friends with her phone-showing a nice balance between both worlds.
This a cute book with a great message for kids to balance their lives between real and virtual worlds. The illustrations are bright and adorable with cute facial expressions on Dot. The text is simple, so this is probably geared more for the younger crowd and their electronics, but the message is important for all ages. EL (K-3)-ESSENTIAL.
