The Beatles were Fab (and They Were Funny) by Kathleen Krull and Paul Brewer - ESSENTIAL

Krull, Kathleen and Paul Brewer The Beatles Were Fab (and They Were Funny) Illustrated by Stacy Innerst  Harcourt, 2013.  $16.99  PICTURE BOOK Content: G.

This is a great summary of the Beatles and their quick rise to fame.  The four singers were just boys in Liverpool, England when they got together, but after working together for next to nothing they were able to get help from an agent.  Their agent helped them to get recognized around the world and there songs started Beatlemania.

This is a fantastic book that makes the Beatles story simple and easy to understand for young kids.  The illustrations help portray the feelings expressed about the band.  The book ends with the guys meeting at their studio to write music, but there is a timeline at the end that records their births, when they split up and their deaths.  This is a great book that shows the history of the great Beatles.
