Pete the Cat is in a Thanksgiving play about the Pilgrims. He tells the story about how the Pilgrims came to America on the Mayflower, survived a cold hard winter, and met Native Americans who helped them know how to survive by growing certain crops. At the end of the play, Pete and his family talk about what they are thankful for. This is a simple recap of the history behind Thanksgiving day, with lift the flap pages that give added facts.
The information isn’t anything new, and when you lift the flap it feels anti-climactic because it’s the same picture as the front of the flap sometimes with more text. Overall, there are better books about Thanksgiving and there are better Pete the Cat books as well.
